My dear Brother

be too much for them. I had a long kind letter from
Frances
Birth: 1805-09-24 Death: 1865-06-21
a few weeks since, which I should have answered but she said she expected to be absent.
Another thing I am very happy to inform you—
that my long wish’d & anticipated visit has been
concluded upon. Our Brother Silas
Birth: 1795-05-24 Death: 1847-08-27
from Paterson
(who has been staying some weeks with us) will return
in about two weeks and in consequence of some
chills I have had M.
Birth: 1798-11-26 Death: 1865-01-05
– consents to my journeyingThis I know is sooner than you leave Albany but
S– can’t stay longer & I may go either to Mine Hill
or Orange Co until you are ready to go home.
I shall expect a letter when I reach New York
from you. We are all well now, and most of us in good
glee. I calculate I fear too much on this visit.
Your affectionate Sister,
Lousia C Canfield
Wm H. Seward Esq.
