The supervisors & Judges convened for
business - but whenever the question came up

rise & put off - but at length while they

Several of our friends are looking ahead
for places. I fear you will be confronted
when you come - but I have said to them all

of late without calls of attention to matters
here - now that they are over I may say
that we have endeavored to keep things
together and business moving on a little du-

ry examinations of the last years business
and the coming in of our three hundred deeds
have created a necessity for the services of Mr.
Young
ever since you were here. We have gone
over the calculations of interest of last year
and find innumerable more The correction
of which will more than pay the salary
of a clerk for a year. So it would be
I do not doubt of [ us ]
Alternate Text: use now to examine

the contracts made in the office since 1836,
and I have thought of having it done
by & by as a job for leisure hours.
Beside the seventeen thousand dollars
sent to Mr. Duerr
have sent almost fourteen thousand dollars more
