Dear Henry
The arrangements for
the construction of the vault are now
nearly completed – such materials as
could only be had in Newburgh are
ordered there – with lime from Great
Island, bricks from little Island
stone from Mount Cook out and
different mechanics from dif-
ferent places – the work to
be commenced on 15 Augst, and
the reinterment
or 25 Oct, of which you will
be advised.
I left N.Y. without expectations
of returning, but find that another
visit there is necessary ‑ will
go down as soon as the arrange-
ments alluded to are completed
