Albany November 30th
My dear Jennings,
I would advise you to take a contract not a deed for
the House in Cincinnati. And take possession under it (by your agent)
assign the contract to me as security for the sums you have mentioned.
Let the deed be to be made say after one year. This is the better
course if you have confidence in the party agreeing to give the deed.
And as the contract will recite that the consideration is paid
they ^The^ Court will then decree a deed at any time to me as assignee.
If this does not strike you as sufficient and right let me hear
from you before you do more.
Yours faithfully
William H. Seward
