My dear Mrs Seward,
I called this morning
to offer my apology for not
having accepted your kind
invitation for last evening, and
I am so unfortunate as not
to see you; but I hope you
will accept my apology although
it comes at so late an hour.
I had fatigued myself in
walking during the morning
and at Evening found myself
to weary to imagine that I could
contribute the least pleasure to
yourself or friends
Yours truly
Mary Bradish
