Westfield 15 Jan. 1840
Dear Henry
Our Denton
Birth: 1819-01-19
is leaving us
owing to a weakness of breast.
I send by him a transcript
from our books – showing the receipts
of money, both as principal & interest
on this office from 12th July 1838 to
31 Dec 1839 inclusive. Mr Duer
Birth: 1812-05 Death: 1888

has expressed a desire for this paper:
it is now carefully prepared, up to
1st Jan. inst – & I hope will be
satisfactory to him. Denton would
lay them before you, if required – but
I suppose you scarcely have time.
I feel some uneasiness that no
arrangements have been made as
yet for the letting of the Trust prop-
erty about Auburn: but I cannot
well leave home to attend to it
for a few weeks. But I will not

long neglect it: perhaps by the
10th of Feb. or earlier
Your grateful Brother
B.J. Seward
