Sunday morning 7 oclock
My dear sister
Augustus
Birth: 1826-10-01 Death: 1876-09-11
passed a tolerably comfortable
day yesterday – his fever returned in the afternoon but
not more than the physicians anticipated – I sat up
with him until 12 and have been up since 5
he complains of pain in his breast and his fever
has not diminished quite as much as it did
yesterday at this time – still he is not naturally
worse as far as I can judge. I shall write every
day until I hear from you – Nothing heard from
Florida – Henry
Birth: 1801-05-16 Death: 1872-10-10
thought last night he should leave
this morning but will be determined by the opinion
of the physicians – your own sister – Frances
Dr Williams
Birth: 1812-05-12 Death: 1882
says he does not consider Augusts’ situation
dangerous at present
