Sunday afternoon –
My dear Henry,
I am sorry you are harassed with
applications relating to Colt
not evince any penitence for his crime – If Fred
gets sick do not fail to send for me immediately
I believe no one has so thorough knowledge of his
constitution as myself – I am anxious since you
write that he is suffering from a cold – above all
things employ no physician unless it be Dr Ward
or Williams

Lazette was much disappointed to find Augustus
I have been continually occupied with arranging the house –

picture – The grate is to be set next week – We have
carpeted the south room & nursery – This week I shall

I hear nothing about the election – as John
Loco he is not as communicative as Peter
With all my work in the house I have many things
to attend to in the garden – Tell dear Fred that
I received his letter yesterday and will write soon.
