Auburn May 18th 1843.
My dear George,
Will you oblige my father
record of Thomas Houston’s
(which he thinks might have been put on record about May
1st 1841) and ascertaining the quantity of land it includes
whether 200 or 300 acres. Please give me the result of your exam-
ination.
My father and mother
health as when they Arrived here – but are cheerful
and in good spirits. They seem confirmed in their purpose
of remaining permanently here though the change of residence
at their advanced age would seem a matter of some
surprise. Such a change however would be a welcome one
to us.
With affectionate regards to all my cousins

be considered a farm if he will urge collection as fast as can
conveniently be done.

Mortgage to Samuel S. Seward(which he thinks might have been put on record about May
1st 1841) and ascertaining the quantity of land it includes
whether 200 or 300 acres. Please give me the result of your exam-
ination.
My father and mother
Birth: 1769-11-27 Death: 1844-12-11
are about in the same infirm state ofhealth as when they Arrived here – but are cheerful
and in good spirits. They seem confirmed in their purpose
of remaining permanently here though the change of residence
at their advanced age would seem a matter of some
surprise. Such a change however would be a welcome one
to us.
