Dear Henry,
Your mothers
this time indicate a speedy dissolution
or fear before you can reach her bedside,
Her pulse runs very low, her cough is hard,
raises but little and with great difficulty,
She has frequent turns of fainting, though
which it seems almost impossible for her
to survive, takes little or no nourishment
and at times suffers much pain,
Should she be more free from pain
and enjoy sleep though the night she might
revive a little but we think it very
improbable,
You will of [ cours ]

opportunity to be with us, if you think
it expedient, ^and^ we will write to-morrow, if
