Auburn December 15th. Sunday.
My Dear Son.
I am just leaving home to follow the mortal remains
of my dear Mother
Birth: 1769-11-27 Death: 1844-12-11
to their final resting place on the Earth. She
died on Wednesday last at the age of Seventy five. I am sorry
that you have had so little opportunity to know her intellec-
tual and moral worth.
I shall mail this letter for you at Albany or on the
River. If possible I shall look in upon you before my return
home, but this is very uncertain. If the enclosed do not meet
all your wants write to your mother and more will be sent
without delay.
Your mother
Birth: 1805-09-24 Death: 1865-06-21
is convalescent. Has sat up some
time to day. The infant
Birth: 1844-12-09 Death: 1866-10-29
is very well and all the family
are in good health.
I am very affectionaley
Your Father
W. H. S.
