Tuesday Jan 28th
Mydear Sister,
Your last letter came Sunday
night I believe as you are coming home
this week I should not write again
except to send a commission of Henry
He left his watch with Mr Benedict
be repaired he desires you to procure it
from the jewelers. Worden
due for repairing – Mr Benedict can tell
you where it is – Henry is not materially
better than when I wrote last he allows
himself no time to recover – is at work
every day – the other members of the
family are well – Sister Fanny
and talks a very little – Willie
upon her being interested in all his toys –
She seems more amused l with Dick and
his cage than any thing else – Dick for
his part never sings only when she
is crying very hard which seems to
animate him exceedingly

I am very much disappointed about Abbey
I shall feel the want of her assistance
still more when I am alone next
summer – but it is not worth while
to urge her return – If you see her
again give my love to her and tell
I will write her a long letter
before long – I was unwise in proposing
to have her remain at home this Winter
but regret now avails naught —
Dont you think Fan has just made
herself very stiff because she wanted to nurse
this is getting along fast – There is a
party at Mr Charles Woods
I think Frances
with gayfitying gaiety than most young
ladies if she is tired so soon – I am
was afraid of that cold she has taken
and am very glad you are with her—
We shall expect you Saturday until
you write again – Your own
