My Dear William Henry

and his son-
Samuel
Birth: 1800 Death: 1874-06-10
called on me yesterday - the object he
stated was to inform me that a judgment
had been entered against them and that he
had come to bring me a sertificate of deposit
from the Orange County Bank of $2000
and deposit $500 more in two days, and wished me
to stop the suit with out further trouble -
To write on and obtain a bill of the Cost and
he would pay it instantly -
This I refused to do but engaged to write to
you and procure a statement of their whole business
to a certain day and then I would Settle with
them - Now I have no doubt the old gentleman will
perform every word he has promised me
He appears to dred an Execution and took it hard
that I would not receive his deposits and stop the
suits, will you please make out a statement
of their whole business and send me; in order
that I may settle with him - send a draft for your
cost and thus relieve him from the agony he appears
to be in, as he has the whole of the money by

him and wishes to settle all up he wishes me to
ask the favour for him of the costs coming as favorable
as possible - and doing yourselves Justice -
please write Immediately -
It is a long time since we have had any Letter from
