My Dear Father
You have herewith the Bond and Mortgage
of John Emerick
Birth: 1818-11-13 Death: 1896-03-05
to Chester Yost
Birth: 1807-05-12 Death: 1874-05-24
in which there is due this day
$1044.71. The Bond and Mortgage are the same about which
Mr Morgan
Birth: 1808-06-04 Death: 1877-04-03
wrote to you and which I have before alluded to
as received from Mr Hunt
Birth: 1797-09-02 Death: 1856-11-07
. Hunt has executed an assignment
of them to you which has been prepared by us and which is
in due form and contains a guarantee of the Bond and
Mortgage. He is a man of handsome property with $10,000
clear of all debts and Emerick the Mortgager is worth twice
that sum. His investment is safe
I have this day drawn on you at sight through the
New Burgh Bank for the amount of $1044.71 The Bank
has discounted the draft and paid the money to Mr Hunt
Please provide for it
I do not find any other investment here at present
which we can recommend
