Wednesday morning
My dear Henry,
The children all came home
safely last evening – much pleased with their
excursion – I am better to day – shall try
to get down stairs to tea – Drs Wayland
and Shelton
letter came from Augustus
Ft Hamilton on Sunday – He says he has
not fully determined whether he shall
come home again before going to Mexico –
I presume he will not but says this to spare
my feelings – He wrote but a few lines
promising to write again soon – Does not say
whether Col. Bankhead
Island – Fanny
administered homoepathically effected her cure
she was running about the house in
a few hours – She often enquires where
her father has gone – your own Frances
