Albany June 4. 1849.
My Dearest Frances,
The night was so beautiful that I sat entirely
wakeful looking out before the changing scene of the Mohawk
Valley until I arrived at Schenectady. It was alternatively lit
up by the bright moonshine and then robed in dark clouds.
I arrived at three and found my couch at 4. After sleeping
a few hours I went about arranging my business affairs here.
The labor will consume tomorrow-
I go this afternoon to spend the night with
Mr
Albany in summer is scarcely more busy than Auburn.
Weed
Reason: well-
The books came safely.
You wanted some flower seeds, but you forgot to name
them- Pray do so by letter- or telegraph.
Mr. Blatchford
not returned yet.
Give my love to the boys,
Mrs.
Ever your own Henry
