Canandaigua, 12 May 1851 –
Dear Mrs. Seward
You will permit
me to take the opportunity of a letter to Mr.
Seward
Birth: 1801-05-16 Death: 1872-10-10
to say to you the anxiety I
had to see you when you visited Canan-
daigua and the loss I have felt since
in not having done so. Had I
known certainly,—as I did not,—from
seeing Fanny
Birth: 1844-12-09 Death: 1866-10-29
, that you had come
I should not have felt that I had
a right to obtrude upon your first
hours with your Sister;
Birth: 1803-11-01 Death: 1875-10-03
I supposed
you were to remain several days,
and Mrs. Worden had said she would
send down for me while you were here.
She has doubtless explained to you

how it was.
Please give my kind
remembrances to sweet little Fanny,
and to Carrie,
Birth: 1828-05-22 Death: 1906-12-09
if she is still in
Auburn. To the others
x Birth: 1826-10-01  Death: 1876-09-11  Birth: 1830-07-08  Death: 1915-04-25  Birth: 1839-06-18  Death: 1920-04-29
I sent my
love and esteem in my letter to Mr.
Seward.
Truly.
Myron O. Wilder
