Washington Thursday 13th
My dear Clara,
Augustus
week without a chill and we consider
him nearly well – I have had my
trunks packed since Tuesday waiting
for Henry
Henry is prevented by business in the Senate –
As I had written to Fred
be in New York to day I am afraid
Lazette
may get away tomorrow but this
is rather uncertain – I think I shall
go on Saturday at all events and
will write you again from there
Shall not be at home as early as
Tuesday – Augustus is expecting orders
to leave any day – I am thankful
he is so nearly well –
Yours affectionately
Frances.
