Friday 23rd July.
My dear Henry,
I have the communication
which Judge Wade
Please make my compliments to him.
I cannnot determine what
paper it is from - but
an imposter - such abuse
as that can only "plague
the inventor".
I took the children
to
the fair for the Orphan
Asylum last evening.
I was greatly interested in
the Orphans - they all
look bright and cheerful.
One
is to be buried this

morning. As he was
a poor colored child
placed there by my
advice, I am going
round and shall defray
the funeral expenses.
Have you determined any
thing about the house?-
I think it better to retain
it until next March
if you stay yourself.
Let me know as my
arrangements are depending
upon this. All well.
