Dear Mrs Seward,
Yr kindly sympathy is
always valuable to me, &
now, when my fidelity, I
believe, is recognized, I
do not forget your generous
confidence in advance of
others.
The Administration again
tries to stir a mob against
me, & some evil-disposed per-
son
