Dear Dear Mother
I do not
know as a letter would
have gone yester-day
even if I had written
and I am glad it
is so for I could not
write very well,
I had one of my
sick turns and could
not write very so
your’s and Eliza's
letter were very welcome
I am better this
morning and in my
little parlor,

the small sized
newfoundland dog
Please dont refuse
for if we do not
take him to wash-
ington Aunty
she will board
him. I had a letter
satterday from Kate
Aunty has the
tooth ache, if Kate
makes a visit here
