Auburn June 16
My dear Son,
I was just deliberating
about writing to you on the
subject of shirts when
your letter came — I infer
from its tone that you
are well — I have tried
in vain to find some one
to make the shirts this
month — but I can get them
made next month if that
will answer — if not I
presume Anna
x

can get them
made in Albany — if you say
so – I will send to her —
Father
Birth: 1801-05-16 Death: 1872-10-10

and fatigue of the closing
session of Congress —

.
The horse is at the farm
for the present — The cow
has a fine calf, which
is unexpected good fortune —
I am having some trouble with
a drain & well which the
late rains have caused to
"cave in" — I was hoping to have
it all finished and the place in
order when Father came home.
A thorough housecleaning has
occupied the time since I returned

it is nearly finished now –
Fanny attends one recitation (Latin)
at the Institute, with which
she is pleased — She has
been trying to form a French class
as her Washington teacher
Birth: 1815
would
like to come here for the Summer —
Jenny
Birth: 1839-11-18 Death: 1913-11-09

I borrowed $2 of her for a
fugitive

who came along while
she was here — Frances

has
issued cards for 4 or 5
receptions to extend into
the Autumn — Mrs Day
Birth: 1824 Death: 1881-01-22
has
one — When are you coming
home — the garden is very pretty –
Willis
Birth: 1830

new house – Fanny sends love
Aunty would were she here
God bless you
Mother –
