My dear Son,
I have your
letter this morning
and am glad you
are moved to your
new lodgings – I
hope you will find
them pleasant though
you can hardly expect
them to be as much
so as those you left –
Your description of
the moving is quite

so, my child, that

Jenny is not likely
to be spoiled by a
boarding school &
if her health will
admit of her
giving her attention
to one or two studies
it would be an advan-
tage to her – which
you will not regret
later in life – I presume
the change of air
would benefit her
health, if it should
not she can come
home – She certainly
ought not to remain
at school if seriously
unwell – or at all
at a school where
she would be required
to study much.
