Ocean Dec. 13. Tuesday.
We cleared from Havre at one PM. today.
It is a thick misty night but we have a
calm sea. Although it is only 10 oclock
the cabin is deserted and I am alone
in Sea sickness has sent some to their rooms,
weariness and ennui all the rest.
The ship seems comfortable, the
passengers, nearly all Americans and
many of them personal friends are very a-
greeable. European incidents seem already
sinking in importance and I can scarcely
persuade myself that I am not on board
the Hendrick Hudson returning from Washington
to Auburn –
