My dear Gus,
We have come so
far on our journey with only
one delay, at Kansas City. I
having succeeded in catching a
severe cold at Chicago, which
kept me four days at the
worst hotel we have found
anywhere - we went on to
Denver from the Doctors advice
and found there a most
perfect climate. We arrived
here Wednesday night, and
have seen every–thing, except

the Lake, which we are to visit
tomorrow, we were received by
Brigham
holding a conference
here now so we have a good
chance to see them all —
Tomorrow afternoon we start
for Scacramento , and expect
to be in San Francisco the last
of next week – I feel quite
anxious to know if you have
been moved, I shall be glad
to hear from you at San Francisco
direct if you write care "Wells
Fargo Express" we go to San
Diego soon after our arrival in
Cal. and then go to Oregon ,
and then if all goes well, to the
Yosemite Valley – Will

and is very much better than
when we left home, and I
hope will continue to improve,
I found letters here from Father
which Aunty
for you. Will sends his love
to you, When we were coming
through all the grand scenery,
I thought of you having seen
it all, and probably the many
discomforts you had – we are
having a very easy and
delightful journey —
With much love
Your affectionate sister
Janet
