Biography

Judge Esek Cowen was born in Rhode Island on February 24, 1787. He was Reporter of the Supreme Court from 1823 to 1828,  and published nine volumes of the Reports. Cowen married Martha Berry Rogers and they had three children. His reports were talked about in AHW's letter to WHS-[18320220AHW_WHS].
