Henry Alexander Wise was a Representative from Virginia in the United States Congress. He studied and practiced law. He held several offices in the 23rd and 24th Congresses, and also served in the 25th through 28th Congress. He resigned in 1844. He served in the Confederate Army during the Civil War.
