Doctor. Thompkins Close Delavan was one of the founders of Ovid Academy and was one of 2 doctors in Seneca, NY. He was the father of Edward Close Delavan, and may have been mentioned in 18330505FMS_WHS1.
He moved with his family to Moscow, Michigan where he was given land. He was one of the few physicians in Hillsdale County at the time and his wife had nine children.
