Biography

First husband of Martha Jefferson. He died shortly after their marriage and a year after the birth of their son.  Unfortunately, little is known about the marriage of Skelton and Martha or their lives together due to its short length and also a lack of records on Martha Jefferson. The Skelton family was reasonably prosperous and he attended the College of William and Mary.
