Anne Margaret Mackall Wood (Taylor)
Birth: 4-9-1811
Death: 12-2-1875
RelationshipsBiography
Found in 18630123FAS_LMW1. Fanny (in Washington) is invited by Mrs. Dr. Cook to spend time with Cook's daughter, Sarah Wood. I looked up the 1863 directory for Washington, D.C., and there was only one physician listed with the last name "Wood": a doctor, R.C. Wood. I then found correspondence between R.C. Wood and his "father-in-law, Zachary Taylor". Using this information and his wife's maiden name, "Taylor," I deduced our doctor to be Robert Crooke Wood - who just happens to have a daughter named Sarah! They live at 255 I North in D.C., very close to where the Sewards lived.
Mentioned in 18490306WHS_FMS as "Mrs Wood daughter of General Taylor".
