Biography

William Hanna Thomson was born on November 1, 1833. His father, Rev. William McClure Thomson, was a missionary. Young William Thomson got his B.A. degree from Wabash College in 1850, his M.D. from Albany Medical College in 1859, his M.A. from Yale in 1861, and his L.L.D. from New York University. William Hanna Thomson married Catherine Sarah Van Dyke in 1865 and they had five children. He wrote several works for which he was recognized for as well as being recognized as a leader in medicine in New York City. He died in New York, NY on January 18, 1918.
