Biography

 An English actress and theater manager.
 Charlotte Vining was born into a theatrical family and traveled the country as a child actor. In 1854, she married another actor, John Wood. Over time, she became more famous than her husband. Later in her career, Vining managed theaters including the Olympic Theater in NYC. The Olympic Theatre changed its name to Mrs. John Wood's Olympic Theatre when Mrs. Wood became the manager around 1863.
