Biography

Thomas Moore Kelley was the son of Daniel and Jemima Paine Stow Kelley. He was born in Connecticut and moved to Cleveland, Ohio with his parents in 1814. He served in the Ohio House of Representatives in 1841-1842 and became a Judge of "the Court of Common Pleas" in Cuyahoga County, Ohio in 1845. He was appointed as a judge by the Governor of Ohio (Whig) at the time. He was married to Lucy Latham Kelly. He appeared in a 1840 letter (18400823FMS_WHS) as he was in Auburn for a Whig meeting.
