Biography

Elise is a literary character from one of several legends that Henry relates to Frances in the 18330814 travel letter. Elise was raised alongside two princes who loved her. She chose the younger prince for a fiancé but he would end up breaking his promise to marry her and instead marry a Greek woman. Elise reconciles the two brothers as the elder was angry with the younger for breaking his promise. She then joins a convent in heartbreak.
