Biography

Washington is referred to as "Washy" by FMS in letters. He was the son of Sabrina Hollister and William Tennant Shaw and his grandfather was Ezra Hollister who was the brother of Mary Hollister Miller.  He married Sarah Elizabeth Loomis on June 13, 1849 and they had two daughters (Mary Shaw and Sarah Shaw Fuller). Between 1842-1853, he lived in Auburn. Page 617-618 below has more info on his occupations and where he moved to.
