Henry R. Abbott was born in England. In 1836 he migrated to New York and lived in Auburn, NY. His probate lists his widow as "Mary Ann Abbott." His probate also lists one minor heir, Edward. It is likely that Henry and Mary Ann had more than one child, as the 1840 census records show 5 children under 20 years old residing in their household.
