Julia Palmer Fisher is the sister of Lieut. William Ricketts Palmer and Frances Eliza Hales Palmer. Julia married William Fisher in 1834, and they had 5 children before William died in June of 1847. They lived in Philadelphia, where William first studied law in the office of John Cadwalader, before being admitted to the bar in 1835.
