Biography
Michael S. Myers married Susan (nee Cornell) December 31, 1826. Michael Myers was born at Waterford, Saratoga County, NY on April 15, 1801. He studied law and entered at the law office of Lockwood & Throop in Auburn before being admitted to the bar in 1825. He then practiced law in Aurora with Honorable Glen Cuyler, until 1828 when he became County Clerk at Auburn. In 1829 his brother Peter was appointed as a deputy, and later became a partner in Michael's law office. After serving nine years as County Clerk he served three years as District Attorney, and then was appointed inspector of prisons, and in 149, postmaster of Auburn. He died in Auburn circa 1883/1884 (some sources say 1884 although his gravestone lists his death date as late 1883.)
