Aaron Pitney was the brother of Joseph T. Pitney, and therefore also the son of Mahlon Pitney and Sarah Pitney. Both Joseph T. Pitney and Aaron Pitney became doctors. Aaron Pitney was a pupil of Dr. Smith and he served as surgeon in the war of 1812. He moved to Chicago in 1842, where he practiced homeopathy. He married Betsy H. Pitney, and, after her death. he married a Margaret Pitney. When he died he left "no lineal descendants."

Biography: Aaron Pitney was the brother of Joseph T. Pitney, and therefore also the son of Mahlon Pitney and Sarah Pitney. Both Joseph T. Pitney and Aaron Pitney became doctors. Aaron Pitney was a pupil of Dr. Smith and he served as surgeon in the war of 1812. He moved to Chicago in 1842, where he practiced homeopathy. He married Betsy H.
