She lived in Orange County, NY in the 1850s so it appears likely that she is the "Mrs Howell" that did housekeeping duties for George Washington Seward's family in Orange County during 1851. She was married to Preston Howell, a farmer. They had a young daughter, Ann Howell (born in 1846), who was listed with as a domestic servant living with George's family in an 1855 census so it appears this members of this Howell family worked for the Sewards.
