Jonas C. Heartt was a politician from Troy, NY. Heartt served as the Mayor of Troy from 1838 until 1843, and he served as Speaker of the New York State Assembly in 1852. He was a trustee of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and longtime president of the Troy Female Seminary.
