Samuel Cady Titus was the son of Samuel and Mary Hollister Titus of Auburn, NY. In 1879, Samuel married Jeanie S. Lytle. Frances "Fanny" Seward references him in her 1858-1859 diary in attendance at his brother Edgar's and sister Mary's school exhibition.
