Biography
Karl Ludwig Von Bruck served in various administrative and ambassador roles for the Austrian empire. He represented Trieste in the 1848 Frankfurt National Assembly, served as commerce minister, and negotiated a commerical treaty with Prussia. He also served as an ambassador to Constantinople. In 1855, he became Austria's minister of finance. He was blamed for Austria's financial crisis in the late 1850's and, after resigning in 1860, committed suicide.
