Biography

Thomas Cranmer was a fervent Protestant that eventually was martyred for his faith. On June 21, 1859, William Henry Seward wrote in letter that during his visit to Oxford he walked over the ground on which Cranmer (and earlier Ridley and Latimer) were martyred.
