Biography

Dr. Joseph Ward was the son of Dr. Isaac Moreau and Mary Ward. He was the older brother of Susan Duryee Ward, a friend of Fanny Adeline Seward, about whom she writes in her diary of 1862-1863. Ward is referenced by Fanny Seward as "her [Susan's] oldest brother, a surgeon in the army."
