William Hunt was an artist and brother to Adjutant to Gen. Heintzelman, Major Leavitt Hunt. Fanny Adeline Seward mentions William Hunt as someone "who figured as one of the artists in 'Cecil Dreeme'" in her 1862-1863 diary.
