Only son of William T. and Abigail Blodgett of New York, NY.  Referenced in Fanny Seward's 1862-1863 diary in which Mrs Clark claims that Mr. Blodgett has the "handsomest children." One of the subjects in Eastman Johnson's family portrait - "Christmas-Time, The Blodgett Family," now held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, NY.
