Biography

Youngest daughter of William Tilden and Abigail Blodgett of New York, NY. Died at 10 years of age from Scarlatina. One of the subjects in Eastman Johnson's family portrait of the Blodgetts "Christmas-Time, The Blodgett Family," now at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, NY. Fanny Seward references her in her 1862-1863 diary when she recalls Mrs. Clark's claim that Mr. Blodgett has the "handsomest children."
