Biography

Nephew of James William Wallack "the elder". Born in London, England to Henry John Wallack, moved to U.S. as a child. First stage appearance in 1822 in Philadelphia. Enjoyed a successful career in the U.S. and in Europe until his death. Fanny Seward references him in her 1863-1865 diary as performing in Grover's theater in Washington, D.C.
