Biography

Charles D. Warner was an American essayist and novelist. In 1861, Warner became co-editor of the Hartford Courant with Joseph R. Hawley. In a letter from Lazette Worden to Augustus Seward on Dec. 19, 1871, the editor of the Courant is mentioned, either referring to Warner or Hawley.
